Setting OUlook xp client to start on logon

I have a client who use outlook xp (2002) and connects to mail server via
POP3 client.
They are a stand alone enviroment using windows xp professional.

What I would like to know is how or can I setup them up that when they
login to their computer outlook automatic starts up and runs in the
background, which continually checks mail every 5 to 10 minutes (I have
the checking mail setup).

I was thinking maybe a GPO, but not sure and if so how?
