Sendmail Relay Authentication

How would I allow sendmail to relay mail as an outgoing mailserver while
authenticating users from an internal Exchange server? Is this possible? If
not is there such thing as an smtp relay proxy? I don't want direct
connection to my Exchange server.
I have pop3.proxy (http://www.quietsche-entchen.de/software/pop3.proxy.html
) and I need the same thing for smtp.
