Hi there, thanks for the replies. As to the scenario, it is for failsafe
purposes, in case one fails the other must take over, but then one sits
with the server naming etc....

Hello,
Are you running Ex2003 on Server2003? If so, I have a situation that you
may be interested in. I'm going to skip a lot of detail here for the
first mailing...
I'm running two Exchange servers in tandem. While installing the second
one you choose the box that you're installing into an existing exchange
organization instead a new one while doing the pre installation check
sheet. This makes the second install aware of the first one and joins it
to the organization. Once this is complete you can move mailboxes and
replicate Public Folders between the two to help with the information
store size limitations.
I'd be happy to help more with this if you're interested. You can email
me directly at jeff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks

Jeff

Secondary in regards to what? You just want two or more servers, or is
this some kind of failover scenario?

I need to set-up a secondary exchange server. Are there any way to this
and if there is where can i find some docs on it. As far as I am aware
this cannot be done, I might be wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

Regards

Francois
