Be sure to post you MX record for this new server a couple of days in
advance so that it has time to replicate across the internet. After
verifying all is working correctly, remove the MX to your exchange server so
mail does not bypass the GFI server.

Thanks for the suggestions, sounds like a plan!!!

Although, let me understand this correctly:

I have to install it on a separate box (SMTP server) other than my Exchange
server?

Thanks for your time.

GFI Mail Essentials... inexpensive but good.

Download the trial and you can test it (full version) for 30 days or so...
I promise you will not find a better solution for the money. I currently
use it for my Exchange 5.5 environment with over 1500 mailboxes... it is
VERY strict out of the box, so you will want to edit the filters to meet
your company's needs before implementing. But that only took me 2 days
total...

Chris

Hello everyone,

I'm at my wits end trying to fight SPAM at the client level. Does anyone
have any good recommendations for SPAM blockers at the server level? We are
receiving 150-200 SPAM messages per mailbox per day!!! I am running an NT
4.0 Server running Exchange Server 5.5. Our network is very small - 30
Exchange mailboxes.

Keep in mind cost, ease of use setting up, configuring, maintaining, etc.

Thanks for any recommendations!
