-------------------------------------------------------Need more info.
1. Are you running Outlook 2003? Works only with 2003 2. When you
configured Outlook for new profile, you chose Microsoft Exchange server,
when you enter your exchange server name, you enter your hostname or
internal fqdn of your exchange server like you would creating a regular
account. Click more settings, now it will take 30-90 seconds to time
out. (You're testing outside so you can't resolve) 3. Now go to your
Connection tab, Exchange proxy Settings, now enter the url for your OWA.
Set authentication to Basic.
4. Try logging in. Also try using domain\username 5. Open outlook using
run command. Outlook.exe /rpcdiag. Connection should say http.

-------------------------------------------------------I think this only
works with Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003 with Certificate installed.

Subject: [ExchangeList] Rpc over https
http://www.msexchange.org
-------------------------------------------------------Hi,
I trying to settings rpc over http on my infrastrucure, here is my
configuration :
One router/firewall who manage traffic from my wan to my lan network,
visible on internet with FQDN mywan.domain.com One Exchange server SP1
(just one, no front end / back end server) not a DC.
Dc on other server on my lan.
Here is what i made :
I redirect https from wan to my server (working well, i'm using OWA
trought forms authentication) I set my exchange server as the rpc proxy.
On ESM, right click on my server, and set it as the RPC target.
Modify registry key
ExchangeServer:6001-6002;ExchangeServerFQDN:6001-6002;ExchangeServer:600
4;ExchangeServerFQDN:6004;
I created a new profile on outlook, as the exchange server name i put
mywan.domain.com.
Now i can't connect, after while got a message who said that the server
is unavailable ...
Is there some tools or logs that i can check, for troubleshooting ??
