The PC I'm trying to access the instant messaging
Server is just behind a router on a different network,
Not behind an ISA server. Mt PC's on the sbs network
All have firewall clients and can access the IM server.
It's externally I'm having the problem.

Have you installed your firewall client?
This is need for MSN Messenger to work.

I've just installed the instant messaging server which is running on my
SBS2000. From within the same lan I can sign into it fine. However I'm
unable to access it externally. I've even tried opening all the packet
filters in ISA but still can't connect to it. Can anyone give me some
advice please ?
