Thanks, I've looked at the article, but we don't use a proxy server...

It can be few things. First try this:

Subject: [exchangelist] OWA Problems

http://www.MSExchange.org/

We are a small firm an our IT support is not on site. Periodically our
access to OWA doesn't work, i.e. we get the IE error message 404 (I think
it's that one). Our IT person has said to reboot the Windows 2000 server to
fix the problem. My questions are:

1. What could be causing this, and

2. There must be an easier way to regain access, without disrupting any
workstations, e.g. manually restart one of the services? which one?

Thanks, Helen
