http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------One of our users is not getting an email from an external SMTP address running Exchange 2003 (we are running Exchange 2007 non-SP1) with a Word 2007 attachment. Her admin. assistant, however, is receiving the message fine. I traced the email and according to message tracking, the message is being received by the destination. I did some testing with the same email - results below: Forward the email as-is Fail Forward the email without attachment Fail Cut text and attachment - forward Receive Cut text out and paste into new email Receive Cut text out and copy over attachment Receive Send new email - text only Receive Send email with larger attachment Receive This is leading me to think that this is a message formatting issue and somehow the message is being rejected. The odd thing about the message(s) is that I can't determine where the message is going. There are no rules in effect; it is not going into Junk mail or any folder (that I can see). I even looked in the external spam filter (even though the messages are all originating and terminating on the same server). The queues are empty; the messages have just vanished. Another theory is that it is a client setting, but I'm not sure where to look (we are running Outlook 2007). ------------------------------------------------------- List Archives: //www.freelists.org/archives/exchangelist/ MSExchange Newsletter: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp MSExchange Articles and Tutorials: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/ MSExchange Blogs: http://blogs.msexchange.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe visit http://www.msexchange.org/pages/exchangelist.asp Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
