If you need a beta of LCS/RTC 2003 then you'll need a beta ID and sign up for it at www.betaplace.com <http://www.betaplace.com/> , don't hold your breath. Instant Messaging will not be included in Exchange 2003 at any stage. As far as a pilot of the new technology goes, in it's most basic form it's not going to look a lot different from Instant Messaging on Exchange 2000. The client will be an evolved version but IM will have the same features as now and more will be added to future versions. LCS will be used by vendors such as Siemens as a core for their Openscape application being released in the near future. _____ From: David V. They would like a pilot of the new technology, is this possible, eventhough its hasn't been released yet? How would I be able to get a copy of LCS (a.ka. RTC2003), if not would I be able to setup Messenging on Exchange 2003 or do I have to wait for that too? http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/lcserver/default.asp <http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/lcserver/default.asp> -----Original Message----- From: Arnold, Mark [mailto:marnold@xxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, July 28, 2003 9:06 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Live Communications Server 2003 or Exchange 20 03 with Messenging Services http://www.MSExchange.org/ If you need Instant Messaging then you'll be needing RTC2003. Will this be possible with Exchange 2003 alone? or would I need Live Communications Server 2003 (a.k.a RTC Server)? _____ Regards, David V.
