Yea, but what if you don't know the path and don't have access at that
level?

It doesn't take much. At a command prompt, run:

dir \\servername\d$\exchsrvr\mdbdata\*.edb.  Use the appropriate admin
drive
share as it pertains to your installation, and if enabled.
