[ExchangeList] IMAP performance

Hello,
I have a large number of IMAP users. There are times when the performance for
these IMAP clients is quite slow. For instance it can take several minutes to
download the message headers in a large folder. The same operation in Outlook
takes a couple of seconds. Does anyone have some tips on improving IMAP
performance.
My system uses a Front-End / Back-end topology. It uses SSL between the
client and the Front-end and IPSEC between the Front-End and Back-End
Servers. All Exchange 2003 SP2 and Windows 2003 SP1.
