That is actually incorrect. Exch2k3 will install either in W2K or W2K3. You
just get more functionality on W2K3. However you can't install Exch2K on W2K3
(too many O/S security changes). If you have a Win2K server running Exch2K,
the appropriate upgrade path is to first upgrade to Exch2K3 and then upgrade
the O/S to Win2K3.

First things first... you cannot install E2003 on a W2K server, it has to be
installed on a 2003 server. So the first thing is to install the 2003 server,
then E2003.

Ken

Subject: [exchangelist] How to install exhange 2003

http://www.MSExchange.org/

hi,
I have 2 domain name with separate machine, one server
is windows 2000 (domain A) and the other is windows NT
4.0 (domain B).

The point is I want to deploy one mail server
(exchange 2003) to serve that domain user. Can I do
that ?

Second point is should I Install exchange 2003 in
windows 2000 sp3 with new domain server (new forest) ?

Can I Install exhange 2003 in standalone server and
connect it to another active directory (another
machine) ?

Thank you for your attention ...

best regards,

Tatok Prabowo
