[ExchangeList] Exchange Public folder 5.5 to 2003 Replication Strange Problem

Hi All!
 
I hope you can help with this! We currently have a problem with the
Public Folder replication at one of our customers. 
 
 - The replication is 2-way between an Exchange 5.5 Server and Exchange
2003 server.
 - The servers are in different sites.
 - The Server replication status on the Exchange 5.5 server doesn't show
the Exchange 2003 server - its not listed... (We assume this is the root
cause of the problem, but not sure how to remedy this....)
 - The ADC seems to be configured correctly.
 - Logging is turned up full on all relevant areas. The only events we
are seeing are that the replication messages are leaving the Exchange
2003 server but they are not being received by the 5.5 server.
 - RPC connectivity is OK.
 
We're a bit stuck on this one, just wondering if anybody out there can
suggest a few pointers?
