Michael, I am not taking it out on you. I was merely saying that if you had read the information that Microsoft so convently provided before you downloaded and looked that the .pdf on Microsoft's site you would have noticed that the information isn't politically correct. I am sure on IBM's site they too have a document which says Lotus has more market share than MS does with their Notes/Domino product and that they predict it will grow even more over the next year or years. I did a 2-second google search on "microsoft exchange market share" and that is what popped up. If you don't like it, fine. Don't take it out on me. ________________________________ From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, January 03, 2005 8:25 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: RE: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange Market Share It also seems that Michael failed to mention; "this Radicati Group study predicts a consistently growing share of the market for Exchange Server 2003." Notice how is clearly says "PREDICTS", if I could predict when the RAM prices will go up again I would be BILLIONARE! LOL Nice try Michael! Andrew ________________________________ From: Michael B. Smith [mailto:michael@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Mon 03/01/2005 7:01 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange Market Share http://www.MSExchange.org/ According to the Radacati Group, it's 31% for Exchange, 24% for Lotus. http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/evaluation/compare/corporatemsg.mspx -----Original Message----- From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, January 03, 2005 6:43 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange Market Share http://www.MSExchange.org/ I think it's more like 75% Domino 25% Exchange. Even companies that use Exchange are pushing all their mail over to their Domino servers so users can access it. I have seen Domino 6.5.x in the flesh working and so far from what I have seen in Exchange 2003 Microsoft has quite a bit of catching up to do yet, though Domino is now into the 7 something version range.
