Hi All, My W2K domain is up and running. However, my users still have to use their old passwords/usernames to access their Outlook (From Exchange 5.5). So, basically they logon to the W2K domain with one password and then logon to Outlook with their old password. Will setting up ADC solve this? Or how do I join the Exchange 5.5 server to my new domain? How can I correct this? I'm stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated. Is Mark out there?? :) Thank you! -Jared -----Original Message----- From: Mark Fugatt [mailto:mark@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, June 15, 2003 2:07 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Upgrade from 5.5 to 2k, I did a mess.... http://www.MSExchange.org/ If I remember correctly it?s the Display Name of the organization that causes the problem, so in Exchange 5.5 Administrator, click on the Organization Object and then go to File > Properties and change the Display Name for the Organization object and then try to install Exchange 2000 again. Hope this helps Mark Fugatt MCT, MCSE, Microsoft Exchange MVP Pentech Office Solutions Inc Tel: 585 586 3890 Cell: 585 576 4750 Fax: 585 249 0316 www.4mcts.com www.exchangetrainer.com -----Original Message----- From: Darwin O. Solano [mailto:dar.solano@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, June 15, 2003 12:34 AM To: [ExchangeList] Hi all? Last Saturday I began an Upgrade from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2K for a client. The server were up to Sp3 on W2K and SP4 on Exchange, everything was running smooth until I insert the Exchange 2K CD for the upgrade. The thing was that the upgrade can not be done because the name of the organization contains invalid characters; the character was an ?&? in the middle of the name. The message told me that I have to change the name of the organization thru the Admin console for Exchange 5.5. I have tried everything to do it, but without success. Can anyone point me in the correct direction to solve my upgrade.? Thanks Darwin O.
