Echange Server 2000 and Install the SP2 update

I have been trying to install the sp2 for Exchange Server 2000 and every
time I try I recieve the error message stating that the domain and
forestprep have not been ran.  They were ran during the initial install of
Exchange server 2000.Once I run the forestprep I reciev another error
message..."Setup failed while installing sub-component Microsoft 2000
Active Directory schema update with an error code 0xC1037AE6 (please
consult the installation logsfor a detailed description).  I found the
white paper on MS Technet document "XADM: ForestPrep Fails with Extending
the Schema Error (Q256184)"

followed the instructions to the "t" and I still have the same problem.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem or experienced the same error?

Any assistance will be appreciated.
