Hi all!
Don't forget that this month's meeting will be held at the Mesa Community
College Planetarium, located on Dobson Road, just south of Southern Avenue. If
you are going north on Dobson from US 60, it will be your first right turn, and
is labeled Mesa Community College toward the east and Banner Desert toward the
west. Classes at MCC begin on Aug. 20, so there shouldn't be any complications
with parking. The only restriction is the spaces marked Employee which make up
several rows in the lot in front of the planetarium. We will meet first PS 101
classroom. The planetarium is a short walk down to and through PS 105. The
first floor restrooms are also opposite the PS 101 classroom. We will have our
usual business meeting and refreshments in room 101 and then proceed to the
planetarium after the break.
We still have tickets available for the field trip to Lowell Observatory on
September 4th. The cost is $25 per ticket and covers everything (including the
pizza party!). Don't miss out on this opportunity to visit (and look through)
