The IS1305 COST Action, ENeL (European Network of e-Lexicography) is calling
for applications for Short-Time Scientific Missions (STSMs). Objective of STSMs
is to support Exchange Visits of, particularly, young scientists in an
institution or laboratory in another COST Country to foster collaboration and
learn new techniques.

An applicant for a STSM should be involved in a programme of research in an
institution of a COST country that is actively participating in the ENeL COST
Action as:

  *   A postgraduate student;
  *   A postdoctoral fellow;
  *   An employee
A host of a STSM can be an institution in a ENeL COST participating country
(http://www.cost.eu/domains_actions/isch/Actions/IS1305?parties) or a formally
approved institution in a non-COST country.

The duration of a STSM is minimum one week (5 working days) and maximum 3
months, which can be extended to the maximum of 6 months for Early Stage
Researchers (PhD students or a scientists with no more than 8 years of
experience after their PhDs).

The financial contribution for a STSM is a fixed grant. This means that it
normally covers travel costs (up to 500€) and subsistence (up to 160€ per day)
and need not cover all costs, e.g. it will not cover health insurance, social
or personal security or similar. Its amount is based on the applicant’s budget
request and the evaluation of the application by the STSM assessment committee
(the ENeL Steering Group). The total of STSM grant should normally not exceed
EUR 2,500 (or EUR 3,500 for early stage researchers for a visit that lasts
above 3 months).

More information on STSMs is available on the ENeL website (http://
http://www.elexicography.eu/). For all details on STSMs, and especially on the
application procedure, the applicant should consult the COST Vademecum (Part
B), section 4.
