[etni] textbook advice (again)

Hi everyone,

Sorry to bother you all while you're sunning yourselves by the pool and 
enjoying a nice restful vacation, but I need to sound out more advice on a 
couple of books for next year. I had a great response last time so if any of 
you are still awake and not snoozing blissfully under the palm trees, I need an 
answer yesterday. 

I need suggestions AND opinions (this is most important) on good new textbooks 
for:

8th grade (Aleph level): not First Choice
9th grade (Bet and Gimmel Levels): not Spotlight and Spotlight Alt.

Also, if you used a certain textbook which wasn't successful, I'd also like to 
know.
