I not only told my students their log grades, but they were aware of the
grading process from the very first day that they started the log. As they
handed in their units, they were given unit grades and were told exactly
what percentage it was of their final grade.
To the best of my knowledge, if the inspectorate finds mistakes in the
logs, the teacher's grade stands and she is given feedback for future
implementation. If this is not the case, then it would totally undermine
the teacher's authority and would be unacceptable on so many levels I
couldn't even begin to name.
