Hi all,
Our thanks to Barry for raising the issue of pictures on "Who's Who on ETNI".
A few words about this section of the ETNI site:
We first set up this section, at the turn of the century. We wanted to have a
section which would present the diverse ETNI community. All entries there - and
subsequent updates - have been submitted voluntarily by members of the ETNI
community. Personal details, such as email address or phone number are
optional. At one point we X-d out all of the email addresses, and asked people
who wanted their email address to be public to notify us of this and resend us
their email address.
As this section grew, we tried to make it more user-friendly. Entries are now
sorted into separate pages for each letter (the beginning letter of first name
- as many people only know the first name of the person they are looking for -
and arranged alphabetically). From around 2003, we also began adding the date
of entry, so that readers could have a general impression as to how up-to-date
the entry is. If there is no date of entry there, then the entry was submitted
before 2003.
Another option is to include a picture. Having pictures of members of the ETNI
community definitely gives it a more personal feel. However, we do realize that
not everyone wants to have their picture up on the net. If you want your
picture included with your entry, send us a picture by attached email to -
ask@xxxxxxxx
This picture does not have to be a picture showing only your face. We can edit
the picture, as required, for your entry.
If you do not have a digital picture to send us, you can always send us a
photograph by snail mail to:
David Lloyd
P.O. Box 30
Midreshet Ben Gurion, 84990
and we will scan it - but we can't promise to return the photograph to you.
The Who's Who page on ETNI is at -
www.etni.org/whoswho/
and you will find a link to the "Adding Yourself" page, there.
If you have a problem submitting your info through the online form (because of
a personal firewall, etc.) - you can send us your info through a regular email
to -
ask@xxxxxxxx
If you have submitted an entry in the past and need to update it, you can do
this through the online form.
