Dear All,
 

As the end of the academic year is (finally?) approaching, we're very exited
to advertise two events at Ohalo College: An academic lecture (June 7) and a
theatrical performance (!) June 15. Details to follow:

 

 

1. Lecture: Testing Mess II


Prof. Jim Kusch

Lecture:

Ohalo College

Prof. Jim Kusch earned his PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is
assistant professor of Educational Sciences at the Eastern Mediterranean
University. He has completed field research and ethnographic study in India,
Venezuela and the former Soviet Union. His research interests include social
theory and post-colonial studies and has taught and lectured in Canada,
Germany, and the UK. Kusch has published his work in the US, the UK and in
Canada.

Testing Mess II is a research profile about evaluation, assessment, the
process of writing a book about the same, working within the larger American
educational establishment to accomplish this, accessing the Newspaper media,
the corporate angle in national evaluation schemes, social engineering and
State steering through evaluation.

 

2.   English On Stage: Music Evolution

 

LOCATION: Ohalo College Auditorium, Katzerin

Breeze through the 20th Century and discover 
how American music evolved to what it is today!
This musical play - completely in English - revolves around 
high school friends, a birthday present,
