*Join us this week for a gripping lecture to be given by:*
*Superintendent Shlomi Chetrit: *
*First to Dare: Orde Wingate's Special Night Squads"*
*The lecture will deal with the Special Night Squads (SNS), a British
military counter-terror unit, which operated in the Galilee during the late
phase of the Arab Revolt (1938-1939). The SNS was formed and headed by
"HaYadid" ("The Friend") Orde Charles Wingate, and included both British
soldiers and Jewish Hagana members. Wingate's creative solutions to the
challenges posed by Arab terrorism, which were ahead of their time, had
great influence on the Jewish defense forces (and later the IDF), as well
as on modern military tactics. *
*Superintendent Shlomi Chetrit is the commander of the Israel Police
History & Heritage Centre. Shlomi is currently writing a doctoral thesis
regarding the Arab Revolt.*

We'll learn about the history of the Israel Police Force and how this
security force protects us.
***Break for lunch at the BIG shopping mall in Beit Shemesh*. You can
purchase lunch at the mall or bring your own and buy a drink/ dessert.
***Tel Azeka* â Biblical lookout marking the battlefield where David and
Goliath fought.
***Guided tour and Tasting at the Srigim Brewery. *We'll discover the
special qualities of this locally brewed beer.
