If you are doing the LOG , it is your decision as their teacher whether they can use the piece of literature. IT is OK to use it !! I have been doing logs for 3 years ( have had 3 classes complete logs) and I always let them bring the pieces of literature to the summative assessment. AND still they do NOT get a 100 !! The point is to have them be able to re-read lines and remember.. They still have the hour and half to to take the test and if they had not learned the material or read the story / poem in class with us then they could not pass the test even if it's with them during the Summative Assessment. I am not testing memory.. !! So YES, if you are doing the LOG ,go ahead and let them use the literature. I can not answer to why the poems are no longer on the external test . All the best, Aviva PS the info about teachers being able to use the pieces of literature is in the handbook. "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense." - -- Ralph Waldo Emerson Aviva Shapiro- 052-4501830 Dafna wrote: > Do you let your students use the literature text in the yearly exams? > Are the students allowed to use the literature text in the Hebrew bagrut > exams? > The answer to the both is NO Sandy wrote: > at the risk of sounding stupid, does anyone have a good reason why the poems > cannot be (written) on the exam? ************************************** ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org ** post to list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** David Lloyd: ETNI founder & manager http://david.greenlloyd.com ***************************************
