With great sadness I inform you that Gail Weinstein passed away this morning, in her home in San Francisco. In both work and play, Gail touched many lives, always working for good causes, encouraging others to do the same, and finding ways to bring them to a place where so many things were possible. She endured much pain and anguish over the last few years but continued to be creative, proactive, and caring for others, especially immigrant populations and underprivileged ethnic groups. Even when she was here in Israel last year for experimental treatment she made time to work with teachers who had been involved with her 'Learners' Lives' Project. People's improved lives are a worthy tribute to Gail's (until now) amazing energy and determination. May she rest in peace. I want the culture of all lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any." ----------------------------------------------- ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** -----------------------------------------------
