Subject: Looking for ideas to encourage extensive reading in the JHS grades
Hi all,
A few weeks ago, I read about an idea for a contest for encouraging
extensive reading. In the past I initiated a contest within my school
a competition among the students with prizes for the students reading
the most books during the term.
The contest I read about dealt with the class leading in the number of
pages read...(this solves the problem of students reading longer
books). I'd really like to have some ideas from those who are doing
this in their schools.
