Many of us have, in fact, done more than simply express our frustration with
the new programme on ETNI. The Irgun, to which most high school teachers
belong, declared sanctions against the program when they were informed how
much extra work it would entail. A group of us went to see Ran Erez after
the ETAI conference, to enlist his help, since the sanctions were not having
the desired effect. In addition, many of us have written letters both to
Judy and to Shimshon Shoshani
to explain our concerns and objections.

Can you think of anything else we sould be doing?

Regards,

Tessa

some of us got when we read his message about the "fear of runaway log

before agreeing to start a program that has so many holes, knots and
deficiencies that have yet to be darned, unknotted and altogether upgraded?
(There has already been considerable discussion about the problems inherent
in the HOTS literature program on the ETNI list.)

worked out by the program designers first -- in advance of our commitment?

concern about the hasty implementation of the HOTS program; whether or not
anyone sees fit to pay attention to our valid points is likely to depend on
the amount of such missives the MOE receives, we believe.
