I was just about to sign the contract we are sent every year as oral 
examiners and bagrut examiners - and then I read it.
You might not be aware of it, but there is a legal battle going on at 
present between the irgun and the Education Ministry concerning our work as 
bagrut examiners. At present, we are "independent" and have no rights of 
pension etc. The Irgun has been trying to see that we get certain basic 
rights as workers. It is now a case in the courts.

In our new contract, it says that we agree that in the event that the 
court - or any other body, decides that we are indeed workers with rights, 
we agree to get only 34% of our pay and we will return 34% of the pay we 
received "from the beginning our connection with the Ministry of Education 
according to this contract!" (whatever that means).  I don't see why we 
should agree to sign a document that undercuts the irgun position in court.

I've sent a copy to the irgun, and I suggest we don't sign until we get 
instructions.
