Sing A Song Of Sixpence: Authentic Texts For Appreciation Of Literature And
Culture
English nursery rhymes differ from children's rhymes in Hebrew in many ways.
Snippets of dubious origin, nonsensical and often violent – they are
fascinating and yes, relevant to English teachers and the EFL classroom.
17:00 – 17:30 Break – browsing and food *

17:30 – 18:30 Parallel Sessions:

1. Micki Zaritsky - The WHs of Web 2.0
What is Web 2.0*? Micki will present the concept of Web 2.0 and share some
ideas for using the web in EFL teaching. (*Web 2.0 = blogs, wikis and much
more...)

2. Amanda Caplan – "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" – Not just for little kids.
Picture books like 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' can be an important
teaching tool in classes, even in higher grades. This project incorporates
all the domains of the Curriculum, and at the same time, allows the students
and the teacher to have fun. What more can anyone ask for?

3. Leo Selivan – British Council
"Live Listening" - By the end of the interactive workshop you'll have at
your fingertips a task based listening activity incorporating elements of
the "lexical approach".

18:30 – 19:00 – Closing and Reflection
Nava Horovitz – ETAI Vice Chairperson

MANY THANKS TO:
