Putting first things first, I agree with Batya about our purpose. We are
supposed to be teaching English as a second/foreign language so that our
students can graduate from high school able to communicate efficiently in
the language. We also need to address how the present bagrut system fails
the growing numbers of native speakers of English, robbing them of real
English literature programs.
Secondly as for the strike I think there should be a vote organized by the
irgun ha'morim asking us whether we should proceed with a strike and shut
down the school year or resume classes after Hanukkah but work to rule.
