or Reality?
We?ve all heard these stories ? they all follow the same
pattern; someone is suffering from a life threatening illness.
Conventional medical treatment has failed. Then the person?s friend
discovered (on the net) a doctor that has an unusual approach, perhaps
an experimental one. That doctor enables the patient to improve his/her
quality of life or prolong it (not to mention ?cure?). Basically, a
miracle worker.
Einav is two and a half and her parents are desperately
looking for such a miracle worker. She is hospitalized in critical
condition. She has a heart disorder called cardiomiopathy which in
plain language means that her heart is hardly doing what hearts are
supposed to do. The medications she gets no longer help her and heart
transplant is not an option in this case.
Beyond ?Googling? the word ?cardiomiopathy? and patiently
sifting through the web sites (which this aunt is doing) can you
suggest other ways to locate an ?out of the box? doctor? Do you know
someone who might have information?
