updated pre-release available

Following feedback on the pre-release about a week ago, more dialog-button
tweaks have been done, in some cases back towards the way they were originally.
I replaced the recent pre-release with a new one (svn also has this code). Also
updated the website changelog a little bit.
I hope this is close to final.
