Hi all,
I stumbled upon a wood stork at Owen Park this afternoon. He was
waterside on the south shore of the lower pond when I arrived at 5:30 this
afternoon and after a few minutes flew into a tree for a minute before
flying south across the Swannanoa River among the trees, possibly to the
ponds on the other side. I attached a crummy photo taken from my phone
through the binoc lens--someone out there has a better pic with his phone,
as he got within 10 feet before the stork spooked.
Best regards,
John
