Hey everyone, hope the fall migration is treating you well!
Had a pretty good morning at Jackson Park today while leading a bird walk
for work. Things are certainly heating up there with more overall numbers
and diversity than what I was seeing late last week. We finished with 15
species of warblers, including excellent views of a male Wilson's Warbler
(assuming the individual we saw was of the eastern subspecies 'pusilla')
next to the hole 11 disc golf tee, right along the creek's edge. Tennessee
Warbler numbers are still down from what they have been in the past while
Cape May numbers seem above average.
Other noteworthy sightings were 4 vireo species (including Philadelphia)
and a Red-headed Woodpecker, seen from the trail on the other side of the
creek from the Warbler Trail (does this trail have a name? I've never
bothered to check...)

Probably could have boosted our warbler tally had we stayed a little later
- no doubt there was a Hooded, Canada, or Nashville out there waiting to be
found!
