Hello everyone, Here's another list from recent surveys at Green River Game
Land (Polk Co, NC), this time at the Walcott tract on the Green River Cove
Road side on 5/16. This is a good birding spot throughout the year.
Directions can be found on the NC Birding Trail website:
http://ncbirdingtrail.org/sites/2012/8/1/green-river-game-land.html. From
the gate to the creek and back is approximately 3 miles roundtrip walk.

In addition to the birds detected during the surveys, I also had
yellow-throated vireo, 2 more Swainson's warblers, 3 more male and 1 female
blue grosbeak, a great blue heron, and a couple more prairie warblers. This
is also a good spot for Kentucky warblers. I didn't find one that day, but
was on a tight survey schedule.
