A very pleasant morning was spent with Vin Stanton, David Kirschke and later Tony Geiger at the "Dead Dog" section of the gamelands (aka SR 20 access). We walked up the hill behind the access and over to Turkey creek, then walked along the riverside meadows. These meadows have been recently mowed, which makes all the difference to an easy walk, so I recommend a visit to the area if you have some time. I expected to see some Wood duck on the creek, especially above the beaver dam, but we found four Blue winged teal instead, maybe escapees from Beaver Lake. We also spent a little time on Cedar hill and Martin Candler roads, where we saw the Meadow larks and Kestrel.
Butter and Dragonflies seen are also listed bellow Doug Johnston
