Denise and I birded the Mills River Water Treatment plant today. Highlights were 2 Red-necked Grebe still present, and 3 Snow Geese. We also saw Buffleheads , Redheads, Scaup, and Ring-necked ducks. Along with ducks we saw 10 killdeer , a yellow bellied sapsucker, 4 black vultures, 2 buteos, and about 50 tree swallows. We stopped by Hooper Lane in hopes of spotting the Longspur or Plover but struck out. We did see more Killdeer there than we have ever seen in one place! Beautiful day! Tony Hargrove Sent from my iPad
