While much of the sanctuary was quiet, similar to the bird walk
yesterday, there was a *very* vocal mixed group in a smaller willow
tree near the North overlook.
Chickadees and Titmice were making such a racket that we expected to
find a hawk or other predator in the mix.
Instead there were 6 species of warblers and a Scarlet Tanager in the
group all actively feeding. At times different species were perched
inches apart. It was something to see Gray Catbird with Chestnut-sided
Warbler flitting about it. Highlights were first-of-Fall Magnolia
Warbler and Common Yellowthroat.
