Thanks for the Dunant recommendation, Trish, and I do love a convent setting, convents having loomed large in my childhood - primary school at St Vincent's, mother, sisters, and aunts educated in the local one, and my late auntie Marie became an Ursuline nun at 17. I really should overcome my slight reluctance to go so far back in time, as I do quite like the Cadfael books, and one of my favourite books ever, well, trilogy really, is Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset, set in the fourteenth century.
