Hi Trish and Everyone
What an interesting thread this is, seeing what everyone's five books
are. I am still working on mine.
Although I think it is one of the most moving books I have read, I don't
think i will be including "The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists". Peter
and I lived in Hastings, which is the town that Mugsborough is based on,
and Robert Tressell is still remembered there. In fact, Peter spent time
in the Robert Tressell ward in the local hospital.
