I did not take to "We need to talk about Kevin" at the start. Rather dull
and a little pompous I thought, but I was dragged in as others told me I
would be. And the tension grew and by the end I was totally enthralled.

I'd really recommend that anyone who hasn't given We Need to Talk About
Kevin a go to do so their earliest opportunity. A good number of people I
know, including myself, started it and gave it up. I, like many of the
rest, gave it another go and stuck with it. I think it is possibly one of
the most important american novels of recent times.
