My 12 year old boy reds in any format offered to him, including the back of cereal boxes. His appetite for books is massive and he'll therefore read whatever ends up in front of him. My 16 year old daughter, on the other hand, reads hardly anything at all. she had a Kindle Fire for Christmas and uses it mainly for Youtube and iPlyer.
