ASEPS2011 - Asia Europe Physics Summit

* In autumn, the Polish city of Wroclaw will become the heart of the world
of physics. Between 26-29 October 2011, the second edition of the
international scientific conference series, the Asia Europe Physics Summits,
will be held in the capital of Lower Silesia. ASEPS is organized by Wroclaw
Research Centre EIT +, together with the Association of Asia Pacific
Physical Societies, the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft, the European
Physical Society, the Polish Physical Society and the Société Française de
Physique. *

The Wroclaw conference will focus on contemporary trends in modern physics,
including cosmology and space physics. World-class physical researchers from
Asia and Europe will take part in this event, including Carlo Rubbia, a
Nobel Prize winner.

ASEPS 2011 will be an excellent opportunity to establish international
contacts that may lead to joint research projects and contribute to the
development of important scientific fields. The event will also include
workshops: for example, about the forms of cooperation between science and
industry, as well as about managing large research projects. All workshops
will be led by eminent specialists in the respective areas.

The host city for ASEPS 2011, Wroclaw, is the capital of Lower Silesia and
one of the fastest growing cities in Central-Eastern Europe. Thanks to its
location on the Oder River and numerous bridges, Wroclaw is often called the
second European Venice. It is a city with a unique atmosphere, rich in
historical sites, such as Market Square or Ostrow Tumski.

Deliberations on ASEPS 2011 will be held at the Regional Centre for Business
Tourism (RCBT). Located in a picturesque area, near Wroclaw’s Zoo and
Szczytnicki Park, the RCBT is one of the most modern centres of that kind in
this part of Europe.
