Hi John,
I just had this same experience with an online UEB class for vision
professionals. Duxbury files can't be shared directly on Google Drive. You can
upload BRF files which the other side can download and vice versa. There is an
Apple app that can simulate braille on the screen. I'm not sure if the braille
can be sent to an embosser.
As I understand it, Google is aware of the need to share braille documents and
add braille fonts to the repertoire. Hopefully those capabilities will be
arriving soon.
Regards,
Julie

Subject: [duxuser] sharing duxbury files via google drive
Hi all,
A friend is asking me if Duxbury braille files can be shared via google docs or
google drive. She and I work with a student in a school where much of the work
is done via that mode. The computers are macs and only one computer in the
school can work with the embosser (because it has windows virtual software on
it).
Any thoughts?
