What are the symbols you are seeing? George. Can you tell me why they are there and how I can remove them? You need to have some idea of the size first - i.e. number of columns, lines, and equally importantly, what is eppected to be the width of the column. Tables with pure numbers of say 4 digits, can often be done like a printed table. On the other hand, if there is a description column which can go say 30 or 40 columns wide, you have to usually use the "Stairstep" format, and even then, if the description is in the 4th, 5th, 6th column of above, that may not always be best. Let's have some idea of what you table look like, and equally importantly where you are based? (Since the latter may affect how things are laid out) George. ________________________________ From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Eyþór Þrastarson Sent: 01 August 2012 17:55 To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxuser] question about tables in Word and Dbt 11.1 I have only recently started using duxbury and need to import a word document containing some simple 3 or 4 columnar tables. I have not been able to find a good explanation on tables in the Duxbury help files and so am wondering if any one can drop some tips on how it's best to handle them. Best regards EyThor Kamban
