We use control-print-screen in Vista; make sure your screen is maximized before
taking the screen shot, and if you want a clearer picture, open up Paint and
paste it into Paint which will save it as a .jpeg file, which folks say is
clearer.

You will have to find the where the "PrtSc" key is on your keyboard.
I cannot guarantee it, but it is often the left one of the top row of
three keys which are above the group of six which contain the Page Up,
Page Down, Home, End, Insert and Delete keys.
When you have the screen you wish to capture, you will need to hold
down the Shift key, and press PrtSc. This will copy the screen to the
clipboard.
You can now open a new Word document and press Ctrl + v to paste the
contents of the clipboard into a new document.
TIP: If you can, before you paste, try and set up your Word document
to Landscape. That way, the recipient will see a larger view.
