Hi Teri, This is an unusual one. ^t is the Word code for searching and/or replacing a Tab character. Also, DUSCI 0009 indicates a Control Character of some kind, but it is not officially listed in the DUSCI table. Would it be possible to send (privately) an example Word file, as well as the resultant .dxp file please? Apparently the {d0009} code is a hard space that looks like a hollow square. Instead of replacing it in dbt I go in to word first before I start working on the file in dbt and use words find and replace to look for the code ^t that's caret-t which seems to do the trick. I might now try this apostrophe code in dbt and see if that sorts out my problem there. another way of dealing with the d0009 problem I hope!
