Hi Scott,
You got that right about the BIOS. No speech possible and as varied
as fingerprints.
As I recall, you need to ensure the Parallel port setting is STP
(Standard Parallel Port) and not ECP (Extended Parallel Port).

Hi folks,
Can someone refresh my memory on what setting needs to be changed in
the bios, if, after installing the generic text printer, the Juliet
embosser will still not print? I know it involves lpt1, but I cannot
recall which setting we need to select.
Any detailed steps on moving through the bios would also help, though
I suppose that the bios are different for every computer. The one in
question is a Dell desktop.
