Hi Theresa, Missed you when I called back. Set your Basic (NOT Duxbury) up for 42 characters per line, then try the 30 character test again. George. I'm having great problems with getting the right paper length and width. I'm using the A4 tractor feed paper. On my previous Index Basic D embosser I used to have the paper set to narrow width, 12 inches long in Duxbury. I had 30 characters across and (I think) either 26 or 27 lines. The Index Basic D that I'm setting up now seems to have a lot more choice of paper lengths and widths. The biggest problem I'm having is setting the paper width and characters per line on the embosser. I've got the paper width at 8 and a half inches, gives 35 characters per line. On page 2 (reverse side of the paper) the lines are starting about a quarter of the way across and therefore the line of braille isn't fitting, so the end of what should be on one line goes onto the next line and starts right at the edge, i.e. on the tractor feed. I've got the paper length at 11 and 2 thirds inches, gives 29 lines per page. Can someone help me with this, because I haven't a clue what I need to do next.
