It all explained in Help: The Menus: File: Save as, but here it is anyway.
* Formatted braille, USA encoding (*.brf) - essentially saves as DOS
text.
* Formatted braille, local encoding (*.brf) - saves using Windows
character set.

When saving in DBT 11.2, what is the difference between BRF USA Encoding, and
BRF Local Encoding? They both are .BRF files.
